Bruno Tiago Cabral has a degree in Classical and Portuguese Languages and Literatures, by the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra. He studies the relationship and crossover between the arts. In this sense, he is currently writing a doctoral thesis where he intends to reflect on the relationship between painting and literature in the work of Raul Brandão (“Raul Brandão: um escritor no atelier”). He translated the work “O sentimento da pintura”, by the Spanish painter and writer Ramón Gaya, for forthcoming publication. He was part of some film projects as a composer, screenwriter, producer and director. He investigates the relationship between philosophy and art, seeking to clarify the dialogue between thought and creation, as a constant in human activity. It was in this context that he wrote some articles about the work of writers and artists, namely Raul Brandão, Teixeira de Pascoaes, Manoel de Oliveira, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, Maria Zambrano or Mário Cláudio. He collaborated in the editing and transcription of volume IX of the critical edition of Fernando Pessoa’s works.
