Sandra Marques

Sandra Marques is a doctorate in Literary, Cultural and Interartistic Studies – Literature and Culture – Comparative Studies by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (2018). Her thesis entitled Literary voices in (post-)colonial times: feminine modulations counterpoints seeks to compare the coloniser and the colonised points of view through a corpus of women writers with the aim of making more plural and diverse the (post)colonial perspectives. The processes of memory and forgetfulness and the way Literature helps History were taken into account. It was also considered important to think about the colonisation and the decolonisation process as having promoted exilic experiences. In 2009, she had also concluded her Master in the Literary, Cultural and Interart Studies, variant of Portuguese Literature and Literatures in Portuguese.
