Paul Grote is a German writer, specialized in detective novels located in different wine regions of the world.
Stephen Harold Spender, born in Kensington, is the author of a vast and diverse literary production, covering fields such as poetry, fiction, theatre, criticism (literary and political) and many autobiographical works.
Cristopher Isherwood was born in Stockport, near Manchester, attended Cambridge University (from where he was invited to leave), traveled to various countries, and died in California, as a U.S. citizen (he became naturalized in 1946). Known mainly for his volumes Goodbye to Berlin (1939) and The Berlin Stories (1945), C.I. had an intense literary and critical activity.
