Inter/Transculturalidades

Apresentação

O grupo INTER/TRANSCULTURALIDADES tem como objectivo estudar as construções literárias da ALTERIDADE, a partir dos conceitos de DIALOGISMO, TRANSCULTURALIDADE, FRONTEIRA, CENTRO E MARGEM. A Alteridade é condição para a construção da identidade, implicando deslocamento, inclusão e exclusão – e também memória e esquecimento. A nossa preocupação será explorar os imaginários culturais, nomeadamente de uma Europa plural, através do diálogo entre as representações literárias e outros discursos sociais e artísticos, recorrendo a ferramentas críticas de diferentes áreas das Ciências Sociais e Humanas, tendo em conta diferentes perspectivas culturais e os pontos de visão da literatura e da estética, nossa intenção é ajudar a redefinir as políticas culturais.

Tendo em conta que alguns dos processos que provocam uma redefinição dos imaginários culturais são mecanismos de hibridização inter- e transcultural, assim como novas formas de pensamento e meios de expressão artística e literária, o grupo pretende explorar também conceitos como PERIFERIA, FRONTEIRA e INCLUSÃO.

Assim, o grupo trabalha a deslocação e a migração de pessoas e, portanto, vidas humanas, entendendo a literatura como um meio de questionar as sociedades contemporâneas. Neste contexto, serão abordados diferentes temas e domínios, tais como: migração e estudos de exílio; estudos pós-coloniais; estudos de viagens; estudos de tradução; teatro e teatralidade; literatura policial.

 

Objetivos
  • estudar a dinâmica da tradução e acções a ela relativos, bem como a função crítica dos textos literários, filosóficos e culturais que transportam visões alternativas da Europa num mundo globalizado;
  • oferecer propostas concretas de planeamento de sociedades culturalmente inclusivas por meio do desenho de políticas culturais, em conjunto com outras instituições académicas e de ensino e agentes culturais, tais como universidades, escolas, câmaras municipais, museus;
  • pôr em evidência a construção de identidades espaciais, através de modalidades literárias e artísticas de fenómenos sociais, como viagem, migração e exílio, que continuam a estruturar a Europa nos dias de hoje;
  • ampliar o alcance das bases de dados Ulyssei@s, A Europa Face a Europa e Passagen.

 

Questões de investigação
  • De que modo a literatura constrói e / ou reflecte pensamentos e discursos críticos sobre a Europa e sobre o mundo multilingue e multicultural globalizado?
  • De que modo a literatura (e outras artes) contribui para preservar o património cultural europeu (mitos, ideias, utopias) e para renovar o seu imaginário, como forma de resistir à uniformidade e articular o local e o global?
  • Qual o papel da espacialidade, vista tanto geográfica como socialmente, na construção da identidade, individual e colectiva, numa Europa aberta e num mundo globalizado? Qual a importância do cruzamento de fronteira, do estar em trânsito e da inserção? Qual o papel da memória ao lidar com essas áreas?
  • Como é que autores (e leitores) cartografam o seu mundo em mundos ficcionais, transformando o espaço em mundos possíveis heterotópicos ou distópicos, estabelecendo um diálogo entre realidade, ficção e, do lado do leitor, entre texto, realidade?
