BRING YOUR RESEARCH TO THE UNIVERSITY OF PORTO

The Institute for Comparative Literature (ILC), Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, welcomes Expressions of Interest from outstanding international researchers wishing to apply to the forthcoming FCT Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus – CEEC Individual, with the ILC as their host research unit. We are looking for ambitious, original and internationally competitive research projects capable of advancing knowledge in the Humanities and contributing to the development of new critical perspectives, methodologies and interdisciplinary collaborations.

The ILC provides an internationally oriented research environment for innovative work in:

Comparative Literature · Literary Studies · Cultural Studies · Interarts Studies · Feminist, Gender & Queer Studies · Digital Humanities · Environmental Humanities · Medical Humanities · Translation & Transnational Studies · Memory & Heritage · Literature & Technology ·

We particularly welcome projects that cross disciplinary boundaries, challenge established frameworks and open new directions for research in the Humanities and Literary Studies.

Researchers of any nationality holding a PhD with an excellent research profile and an innovative project aligned with — or capable of expanding — the scientific scope of the Institute.

We especially encourage researchers seeking to develop internationally ambitious projects with the potential to generate new knowledge, collaborations, networks and future competitive research funding.
