Paulo César Souza García

Paulo César García holds a degree in Vernacular Letters from Universidade Católica do Salvador (1989). PhD in Literature (Area of concentration: Literary theory) by the Federal University of Santa Catarina – UFSC (2008) and Master in Literature Theory by the Federal University of Pernambuco – UFPE (1999). He completed post-doctoral training in the Multidisciplinary Program of Post-Graduation in Culture and Society at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Full Professor at the State University of Bahia (UNEB), he has a degree in Literature and a postgraduate program in Cultural Criticism – Post-Criticism at the Department of Education of UNEB / DEDC II. He is a researcher of the WG of ANPOLL Homocultura e Linguagens, from the research group Enlace (UNEB) and Culture and Sexuality (Cus / UFBA), and collaborating researcher of the group Intersexualities at the Institute of Comparative Literature Margarida Losa of the University of Porto / Portugal. He published the book “Representations of Homoeroticism in Literature” in 2015 and organizer of the book “Homoculture and Languages” in 2016. It deals with the following lines of research: Gender Studies and Sexual Identities in Literature; Literary Theory and Criticism; Literature, cultural production and ways of life.
