Mário Matos holds a BA in German and French Literature (University of Porto, 1989), a MA in German Literature and Culture (Universidade Nova Lisbon, 1997) and a PhD in Cultural Sciences by the University of Minho (Braga, 2007), where he is assistant professor at the German and Slavic Department and vice-dean of the Institute of Arts and Humanities. Mário Matos is a full research member at the Centro de Estudos Humanísticos of the University of Minho (CEHUM), where he coordinates a research group on transcultural mobility studies (NETCult). He is also an external research collaborator at the Instituto de Literatura Comparada Margarida Losa (University of Porto).
