Ida Alves

Ida Alves is Full Professor of Portuguese Literature at the Institute of Letters of the Federal Fluminense University-UFF, Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. PhD in Letters (Portuguese Literature) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ, 2000. Post-Doctorate by the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (1995) and by the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris III (2011-2012, supported by CAPES – BRAZIL). Coordinator of the Research Groups Landscape Studies in Portuguese Language Literatures  and Poetry and Contemporaneity, both UFF/CNPq. She has books organized on Portuguese poetry, in addition to several book chapters and articles published in Brazilian and foreign magazines on modern and contemporary Portuguese poetry, poetry criticism and, more specifically, on the relationships between poetic language and visuality in modern Portuguese poetry and contemporary, as well as landscape studies in Portuguese language literature. Editor-in-Chief of Gragoatá UFF Magazine (Literature Studies) and Abril NEPA UFF Magazine (Portuguese Literature and African Literature of Portuguese language). She is a research fellow at the National Research Council – CNPq – Brazil and is part of the international research group on poetic language and visuality LYRA, headquartered at the Institute of Comparative Literature Margarida Losa of the University of Porto. She is also part of the Luso-Brazilian Research Pole based at the Real Gabinete de Leitura Português, Rio de Janeiro, and a Scientist of Our State – FAPERJ – Fundação de Apoio à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.
