The Margarida Losa Institute for Comparative Literature is hosting the first workshop  Intensive Care, Continuous Care (through reading), on 29 April 2026 at 3.00 pm in the Department of German Studies (DEG) at FLUP.

This initiative forms part of the Unit’s strategic project and seeks to reinforce the role of literary reading in fostering critical, creative and participatory communities. Developed in collaboration with three schools in the Northern region, the series aims to promote literacy practices that stimulate imagination, critical thinking, and the building of reading communities.

The first edition will feature participation from students from the Padrão da Légua, Lousada, and Rio Tinto No. 3 School Groups, launching a biennial initiative that will continue in 2027 and 2029.
