Materiais para a Salvação do Mundo 10

Org.: Pedro Eiras

Abstract: In this volume, Ana Cristina Joaquim tackles the question of the salvation of the world through a collage of texts, her own and those of others (in a gesture that revisits both anthropophagy according to the Brazilian modernists and the notion of non-original genius according to Marjorie Perloff), calling into question ideas of authorship, authority, private property; in an article in English, Helena I. Lopes re-reads Emma Goldman and Voltairine de Cleyre, Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer, Giorgio Agamben or Hannah Arendt, to oppose the forms of political authoritarianism in today’s Western world to an anarcho-feminist counter-model, the Agile paradigm, and alternatives such as the experimental pedagogy of Escola da Ponte; finally, starting from the ideas of catastrophe and the end of the world, as they appear in a play by José Maria Vieira Mendes, and thinking about the universe of electronic games, Song Hongze questions the ideas of anthropocentrism and technique, in a world where humanity and machines are not opposed but (re)invent each other.
