Abstract: In this volume, Fabiane Borsato crosses readings by João Cabral de Melo Neto and Michael Ende to think about understanding time (or various times: natural, human, social… ), questioning experiences such as stress, boredom, speed, progress, in the violent context of a capitalism that confuses temporality with production and life with work; proposing a close reading of poems by Miguel-Manso and Patrícia Lino (who coincide in their use of the expression ‘old heart’), António Pedro Marques questions ‘love’ poetry, its hopes and disappointments, and also the imagery of the heart, the experience of home, the use of music, as a possibility(s) of saving (or not) the world; Finally, Gisela Rebelo de Faria uses ideas such as dwelling (Martin Heidegger), the political (Jacques Rancière), but also the performative (Erika Fischer-Lichte), to think about public space in cities, the experience of collectivity and the role of Public Art ‘as a means of activating and perpetuating reflection and action in the urban space – for the world’.
