Ana Isabel Marques holds a PhD in Modern Languages and Literatures – Translation Studies (University of Coimbra) and a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature (University of Coimbra).  In 2001, she published the work Paisagens da Memória. Identidade e alteridade na escrita de Ilse Losa, and in 2014 As Traduções de Ilse Losa no Período do Estado Novo – Mediação cultural e projecção identitária. She is Associate Professor at the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.
