Guanying Huang

Guanying Huang is a Ph.D. student in Literary, Cultural, and Interartistic Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Porto. Her doctoral focuses on the literature of Portuguese and Chinese female authors. Born in China in November 1999. Graduated in Portuguese Language, Literature, and Culture from the Faculty of Western Languages and Cultures at Harbin Normal University. Came to Portugal in 2019 as an exchange student at the University of Lisbon. Completed her Master’s degree in Portuguese as a Foreign Language/Second Language at the Department of Languages and Cultures of the University of Aveiro, and having been awarded a scholarship in 2021. She concluded her master’s in 2022 with a thesis entitled “Os Armários Vazios de Maria Judite de Carvalho e Ban Sheng Yuan (Amor de meia- vida) de Eileen Chang”.
