Mafalda Pereira is a PhD candidate in Literary Studies at the Faculty of Philology and Translation of the University of Vigo, where she holds a pre-doctoral contract from the Xunta de Galicia. She is also a PhD student at the University of Porto’s program in Literary, Cultural and Interartistic Studies. Mafalda’s doctoral research will be jointly supervised by both universities. Her project focuses on the work of Ana Luísa Amaral. She holds a BA in Portuguese Studies from NOVA University of Lisbon – School of Social Sciences and Humanities (2020) and concluded, in 2022, her Master’s degree in Literary, Cultural and Interart Studies – field of Comparative Studies and Intercultural Relations at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, with a thesis entitled «Ain’t I a Human?: escritos de prisão e o direito à palavra».
