Maria de Lurdes Sampaio is Professor at Faculdade de Letras of the University of Porto and researcher of Instituto de Literatura Comparada Margarida Losa (FLUP). She holds a MA from University of and a Ph.D. from University of Porto (dissertation: História Crítica do Género Policial em Portugal (1870-1970): Transfusões e Transferências).
