Sílvia Wichan has an MSc in Lusophone Studies from the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Beira Interior and a degree in Modern Languages/Letters (Portuguese/English) from the University of Coimbra (PT)/Estácio de Sá (BR). She currently participates as a researcher in the project Filmar-se e ver-se ao espelho: o uso da escrita de si por documentaristas de língua portuguesa and in the project Laboratório de Investigação e Criação Partilhada, both funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and developed by the Scientific Research Unit of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Beira Interior (LabCom). She has worked as a teacher in the primary, secondary and adult education sectors, where she has also been a trainer. She has collaborated in various cultural and social activities organised by the University of Beira Interior’s Equality Commission, among other projects.
