Song Hongze is a PhD candidate in Literary, Cultural and Interart Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, where he is developing his thesis entitled “The Immanence and the Transcendence in Fernando Pessoa in the Light of Taoism and Zen”, with the financial support of the research programme of Camões – Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua, I.P. He graduated in Portuguese Studies from the Portuguese Department of the University of Macau and completed his Master’s degree in Literary and Cultural Studies at the same institution in 2023, with a dissertation entitled “The Dream in Livro do Desassossego: between Nihilism and Taoism”. He is the translator of 四月之国 (País de Abril), a collection of poems by Manuel Alegre published in 2024 in China, and 干旱与生命 (Vidas Secas), the Chinese version of Graciliano Ramos’ novel, to be published in 2025.
