The event marks the launch of the exploratory project Extraterrestrial Post-Humanism, led by João Paulo Guimarães, which will study how certain science fiction stories, with a more realistic approach, depict the possibility of life on other planets. The project will later put the speculative scenarios from the analyzed texts into practice through the production of Bio Art works, whose results will subsequently be placed in dialogue with literary works that have explored this subject. In this first session, some team members will read and discuss short stories included in the anthology Life Beyond Us, which will serve as the main starting point for the project.
