Vítor Ferreira was born in Porto in 1993. He has a bachelor’s degree in Línguas, Literaturas e Culturas (English and Spanish Studies) conferred by Faculdade de Letras (Faculty of Arts), University of Porto. In December 2016, he obtained a master’s degree in Estudos Literários, Culturais e Interartes conferred by the same institution. His final dissertation was titled “Não sei se a culpa é minha ou de ninguém: a poesia política de José Miguel Silva”. He is a researcher in Instituto de Literatura Comparada Margarida Losa. In 2017 he was awarded a PhD grant by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. He is currently developing his PhD thesis, “Escrever com luz. Fotografia e literatura em Fernando Lemos, Manuel Gusmão, Rui Nunes e Luís Quintais” (SFRH/BD/130686/2017), supervised by Professor Pedro Eiras. His main interests as a researcher are Interart Studies, Photography and Contemporary Portuguese Literature. He has published academic essays about contemporary Portuguese authors such as José Miguel Silva, Rui Nunes or João Miguel Fernandes Jorge. He is one of the founders and co-editor of Skhema – Interarts Magazine.
