Arturo Casas is Professor of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where he also teaches Sociology of Literature. He was the coordinator of several scientific projects on poetry and public space that had public funding. Since 2011, he is the editor of the database and digital repository poesiagalega.org; and since 2016 the editor of the database Poetry in the Public Space (bd-poespublic.org/en). His specialities include the sociology of literature, the methodology of national and comparative literary history, Iberian studies, contemporary aesthetic and literary thought, contemporary poetry from a socio-political perspective, and the 1939 Galician and Spanish republican exile. His recent publications include the books Textualidades (inter)literarias: lugares de lectura y nuevas perspectivas teórico-críticas (co-editor, Madrid and Frankfurt, 2020), the third volume of the Dicionario de termos literarios by Equipo Glifo (co-director, Santiago de Compostela, 2020) and Procesos da historiografía literaria galega (Para un debate crítico) (Venice, 2021).
