João Miguel Carneiro dos Santos was born in Paredes in 1993. In the 2014 year, he completed his degree in “Línguas, Literaturas e Culturas (Português/Espanhol)” at Universidade de Aveiro. Afterwards, he was a Master’s student in language teaching, from 2014 to 2016, at Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto. His teaching practice was carried out at Escola Secundária nº3 de Rio Tinto, Gondomar. He finished his didatic course with the publication of their dissertation Algumas estratégias cognitivas ao serviço do desenvolvimento da competência de aprendizagem, guided by Professor Ângela Cristina Ferreira de Carvalho. He started his professional career in 2018 at Agrupamento de Escolas de Arouca. Subsequently, he taught in the school of São João do Estoril and also in Oporto and Vila Nova de Gaia schools. At the moment, he’s working at Escola Secundária de Valongo, where he teaches Portuguese Language and Portuguese Literature. Since 2022, he has been a PhD student in Literary, Cultural and Interartistic Studies at Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto. His research project focuses on the study of the rhetoric of historical memory in the Seomara da Veiga Ferreira’ fiction, are being supervised by Professor Maria Luísa Malato.
