José Domingues de Almeida holds a PhD in contemporary French and Francophne literature. He is a tenured associate professor at FLUP and an integrated member of the ILC, where he coordinates the Inter/Transculturalities team since 2022. He is also president of the Portuguese Association for French Studies, director of the undergraduate programme in Languages, Literatures and Cultures and editor of the electronic journal Intercambio. Her areas of research are contemporary French and Francophone literature, French studies, and contemporary French culture and thought. Recently, he focuses on theoretical and critical issues raised by migrant literatures, post-memorial narratives, as well as the question of literary Europe.
