Márcia Regina Schwertner is Brazilian and has an undergraduate degree in Letters from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. She has concluded Specializations in Children Literature and Brazilian Literature at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. In 2015, also at PUCRS, she concluded her Master’s degree in Literature Theory, with the dissertation “Women at old age: the weight of the double exclusion in O planeta desconhecido e romance da que fui antes de mim, by Luísa Dacosta”. In 2020, she will defend her doctoral thesis in Literary, Cultural and Interartistic Studies, at FLUP, with an investigation by the title “Spaces of old age: interdisciplinarity and ficcional views (Brazil and Portugal)”.
