Marta Gonçalves

Marta Gonçalves is a master student in Literary, Cultural and Interarts Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. She holds a bachelor in Languages, Literatures and Cultures, major in Portuguese and minor in English, at the same faculty. Her research interests rest in Portuguese and Brazilian Literatures and Cultures, and in the postcolonial discussions, in a social, artistic, and epistemological contexts. In addition to feminist and intersectionality studies, she is interested in the field of ethnomusicology, interartistic relations between music and poetry, and the study of oral narrative traditions. She wrote about the poet José Tolentino Mendonça for the database “Europe Facing Europe” (ILCML) and is currently working at the Margarida Losa Institute for Comparative Literature, through a Research Initiation grant.
