Ana Paula Coutinho

Ana Paula Coutinho is Full Professor in the Portuguese and Romance Studies Department at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, where she has been teaching Programmes in Comparative Literature and French Studies. She has a PhD in Comparative Literature (1998) with tenure in Romance Literature and Cultures (2010), and she has researched interculturalities and migration and exile in literature and other arts. She was a member of the board of ILCM several times (2001-2003; 2012-2015; 2015-2021) and its scientific coordinator between 2015 and 2021. She is the coordinator of the digital encyclopedia Ulyssei@s, and co-coordinator of other knowledge databases – Diasporas in portuguese and Europe facing Europe. She participated in the Programme Non-Lieux de l’Exil (Collège d’Études Mondiales – FMSH), she is collaborator at CRIMIC (Université Paris IV) and integrates the transnational network LEA! Lire en Europe aujourd’hui. Currently, she is CO-IP of the exploratory project FCT To See the Tree and the Forest: Reading António Ramos Rosa Poetry from a Distance.
