José Domingues de Almeida holds a doctorate (PhD) in contemporary French and Francophone literature. He is a full member of ILCML since 2007, where he currently coordinates the group Inter/Transculturalities. He is also vice-president of APEF (Portuguese Association for French Studies) and main editor of Intercâmbio (French Studies online journal). His fields of research are contemporary French and Francophone literature, French studies and contemporary French culture and thought. He recently examines the theoretical and critical questions raised by migrant literature and post-memorial Jewish narratives, as well as the literary Europe issue.
