First Resonance: Allen Ginsberg by António M. Feijó
There are many writers – Portuguese and foreign – who have written texts motivated by Pessoa’s work.
Pessoa Resonates originates from the reading and commentary on some of these poems, to capture the variations in the movement of resonance. In each session, a guest will deal with a particular text, by a specific author, in order to comment on the presence of Pessoa found there.
The program begins with the poem «Salutations to Fernando Pessoa» (Cosmopolitan Greetings, 1994) by Allen Ginsberg, commented by António M. Feijó.
Pessoa Resonates is a joint program by Fernando Pessoa’s House and the Institute of Comparative Literature Margarida Losa, taking place alternately in Lisbon and Porto.
Coordination of Joana Matos Frias, Rosa Maria Martelo and Clara Riso.
