In the year in which the centenary of the birth of José Saramago is celebrated, the VII José Saramago International Conference will take place between the 26th and 29th of October in Vigo. “The philosophical and socio-political heritage of José Saramago”, inspired by the book Saramago’s Philosophical Heritage (2018), is the theme of this year’s edition.

With three thematic axes, it will be possible to attend plenary conferences, round tables, thematic panels, and cultural activities, among others. Among organizers and speakers, there will be in these four days dedicated to Saramago researchers from Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, Austrian, British, Bulgarian, Brazilian, Mexican, and South African universities.
